Hours after Al Sadd confirmed an agreement to release Xavi from his contract on Friday, Barcelona finally broke their silence in the early hours of Saturday morning to welcome Xavi back.
The 41-year-old returns to โthe club of my lifeโ to replace Ronald Koeman as manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2024.

Xavi, who won 25 titles during a glorious 17-year spell as a player at Barcelona, boarded a plane on Saturday morning from Doha, the Qatari capital, to Catalonia.
Barcelona will officially present their new manager to fans on Monday.
