After reinstating Dani Alves back at Camp Nou, new boss Xavi is planning to bring back another Barcelona star.

Barcelona head coach Xavi is reportedly making attempts to bring another club favourite back at Camp Nou.

According to a report from Sport, the club legend wants to sign Thiago Alcantara from Liverpool. He believes that the Spaniard is the ideal answer to solve Barca’s midfield crisis.

If we go back in time, Xavi and Thiago have been teammates when the latter entered the first-team and completed 101 appearances.

In fact, reports suggest that the new manager has already discussed the possibility of bringing back the 30-year-old.

Regardless of Thiago’s eternal bond with the Catalan club, the real test for Barcelona will be negotiating with the Premier League side.

The midfield maestro has only racked 90 minutes under Jurgen Klopp this season, having been sidelined with a calf injury.

If we take a look at Barca’s central unit, Xavi has Sergio Busquests, Frenkie de Jong along with youngsters Pedri, Nico Gonzalez, and Gavi at disposal.

However, the addition of Thiago to the ranks of the club will provide substantial experience. Indeed, the Spanish playmaker has seen a glorious career with several titles across Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
