The LaLiga leaders had to settle for a second straight 0-0 stalemate on Sunday.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has warned his side not to fall asleep in the LaLiga title race.

The Blaugrana followed up last week’s 0-0 draw against Girona with another goalless bout in Sunday’s trip to the 15th-placed Getafe.

The draw cut Barcelona’s lead in LaLiga to 11 points over Real Madrid, who defeated Cadiz 2-0 on Saturday, with nine games remaining.

“In terms of performances or results, we are not in our best form of the season,” Xavi told reporters after the final whistle at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

“We tried, but we were too sluggish. We are having a good season in LaLiga, but we can’t go to sleep now. There are important games coming up.”

Barcelona next welcome Atletico Madrid to the Spotify Camp Nou this Sunday. They will then visit Rayo Vallecano next Wednesday before hosting Real Betis and Osasuna.
