A 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan on Tuesday saw the Blaugrana drop down to third in the Group C table, with three games to go.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has admitted the club’s third position in Group C has left him ‘worried’.

Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat away to Inter Milan was Barca’s second loss in three Champions League games this season, leaving the Catalan club down in third place in Group C with only three points so far.

As things stand, Barcelona won’t qualify for the last-16 and will be demoted to the Europa League instead.

“I’m worried about the table,” Xavi told reporters in a post-match press conference at San Siro.

“We’re in a very difficult and complicated situation. We have three finals remaining to qualify. We have three finals, and two of them are at home.”

As Xavi pointed out, Barcelona have two games at Camp Nou coming up in the Champions League. The first one will be against Inter next Wednesday. Group C leaders Bayern Munich will then swing by for a match on October 26.

The five-time European champions will wrap up their group-stage campaign away to Viktoria Plzen on November 1.
