Wrexham continued their winning run against Doncaster with a promising display.

Wrexham defeated Doncaster 2-1 in their League Two match on Saturday. A brilliant attacking display saw the Red Dragons edge out their opponents on home soil.

What happened?

Doncaster started the game on the front foot, but the hosts gradually established their dominance as the first half went on. Following an assist from Ryan Barnett, Luke Young made it 1-0 for Wrexham in the 37th minute.

The hosts continued their attacks to double their lead after the break. But it was Doncaster who got back into the game with Modou Faal’s equalizer.

Wrexham immediately started their efforts to restore the lead but had to wait until the 88th minute to clinch the match-winner. Elliot Lee’s late goal sent the Wrexham fans into rapture as the Red Dragons celebrated their third victory of the season, reaching the seventh spot on the League Two table.

Lee was brilliant from start to finish as Wrexham defeated Doncaster on home soil. The 28-year-old dominated the midfield during both halves, creating several chances down both flanks. But he had to score the match-winner himself as he found the back of the net in the 88th minute.
