You might not have enough time to watch the tournament completely, but you just can’t miss these games.

Football fans have to wait four years to watch the national teams compete in the game’s biggest tournament.

But even in the World Cup, some games are significantly more hyped than others.

If you are not planning to watch the entire group stage, here are five games to make sure you at least get a good highlight.

5-Portugal vs Ghana (November 24)

Portugal had to come through a tough play-off phase to reach the Qatar World Cup.

The Euro 2016 winners will push to claim the trophy in what is most likely Cristiano Ronaldo’s last World Cup.

They will kick off their campaign with a match against Ghana in Doha. Let’s see if the Black Stars can pull off a miracle to stop the European giants in their tracks.

4- Poland vs Argentina (November 30)

Lionel Messi has already confirmed the Qatar tournament will be his last World Cup.

Argentina’s incredible form shows the Albiceleste are ready to part ways with their legend on a perfect note. But that’s easier said than done.

Messi and co will have to lock horns with Poland in their last group-stage game.

On the other hand, Robert Lewandowski, who has become Barca’s new superstar, will hope to lead the Poles to their first knock-out stage qualification since 1986.

3- England vs USA (November 25)

England might seem like the favourites to qualify as the Group B leaders.

But it’s hard to say that matches against Iran, Wales, and the USA won’t be serious tests for the Three Lions.

The USMNT have enjoyed a significant squad rebuild in recent years. The likes of Christian Pulisic, Giovanni Reyna, and Weston McKennie will be motivated to make their mark by leading the USA to victory against Gareth Southgate’s team.

2- Croatia vs Belgium (December 1)

The upcoming World Cup is Belgium’s final chance to land a trophy with their ‘Golden Generation’.

The Red Devils, however, have a tough battle ahead of them in the group stage. Canada and Morocco are strong enough sides to cause all kinds of problems for Roberto Martinez’s side.

But it’s Croatia, who are Belgium’s biggest rivals in the group stage.

The World Cup runner-ups will take on Belgium in the group stage’s final round.

1- Spain vs Germany (November 27)

Spain’s clash against Germany is the most awaited match of the group stage.

The two European giants form the tournament’s ‘Group of Death’ alongside Costa Rica and Japan.

Spain managed to beat Germany 1-0 in the 2010 World Cup semi-finals. Their impressive performances in the UEFA Nations League prior to the Qatar games prove they have a good chance of repeating that success.

But it’s not logical to undermine Hansi Flick’s Germany, who are eager to forget their disastrous 2018 campaign by beating their first European opponents in the tournament.
