The Spanish winger’s future at Molineux has been a subject of speculations with no breakthrough reached regarding an extension.
Nuno Espirito Santo has played down talks of Adama Traore’s potential exit saying that the player is committed to Wolves.
Traore was influential for Wolves last season, helping them finish in the top half of the Premier League table and reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
The 24-year-old emerged on the radar of a number of top clubs around Europe after a productive 2019-20 of notching up six goals and nine assists.
However, he has been unable to keep up his form, and he no longer has a guaranteed place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting XI.
While Traore’s current contract runs through to 2023, his failure to reach an agreement over an extension has raised questions over his future at the club.
The Wolves boss, though, is not concerned by the transfer talks as he backs the player to put an end to his undesirable streak of no goals or assists in 14 games this season.
“He’s committed because of the actions I see every day, in his behavior, the attitude that he has on the training sessions, in the match,” Nuno said, via Goal.
“I think he’s doing well. He started the season in a different position as a full-back then he went to the national team and had a problem in his ankle. It didn’t help him, he lost a lot of time in terms of preparation.
“I think he’s getting better. A lot of things of course (have) to improve but he’s committed and positive that he’s going to return to his top, top level again.
“The game is not all about goals, the game has a lot of aspects. (He is a) good player, he will get there.”
