Let’s take a look at the player ratings of this Premier League fixture between Wolves and Everton from the Molineux Stadium.

With three wins and a draw in their last four fixtures, Wolves reflected impressive energy coming into this game against Everton. In the meantime, the visitors were without a win for their last three games.

Rafa Benitez made four changes to his side with Holgate, Gbamin, Iwobi, and Richarlison replacing Digne, Davies, Gordon, and Rondon in the starting line-up. Whereas, Bruno Lage dropped Dendoncker and Traore for Neves and Trincao.

Wolves had the early lead as Hwang fired in from a close range, however, it was ruled off because of offside by VAR. But, the home crowd did not have to wait for long as Wolves scored in the 29th minute of the game.

Ait Nouri whipped in a corner kick in the penalty area which was well connected by Kilman. The 24-year-old’s powerful header went straight past Pickford who was left helpless.

Be that as it may, the game’s winning goal came in the 33rd minute as Jimenez punished Godfrey who delivered a poor back pass to Everton’s goalkeeper. The Mexican latched on to the opportunity only to dink it over Pickford for his second goal of the season.

We could see that the visiting team caught momentum from the beginning of the second half because of a pep talk from their boss. Indeed it helped as Iwobi pulled one back for the Merseyside club in the 67th minute.

In spite of constant attempts to equalise things, Everton could not exploit the better-looking Wolves side. It seems that Lage’s side is building up to something with great potential here.

With this victory, Wolves now rush to the seventh spot in the league table, while Everton drop to the 10th. The Wanderers will travel to Crystal Palace in their next outing, whereas the Toffees will face Tottenham.
