Mikel Arteta insisted that Arsenal will love to welcome their former player Jack Wilshere who has been training in Italy.
Mikel Arteta urged that Arsenal will always keep their doors open for Jack Wilshere who continues to look for a club.
Originally, the England international started his stint at Arsenal in 2008 under Arsene Wenger. Soon enough, Wilshere was regarded as one of the most skilled midfielders during that time.
Unfortunately, injuries surrounded his life as he could reach his full capacity and was forced to leave the club in 2018. Wilshere further featured for West Ham and Bournemouth before becoming a free agent again.
The 29-year-old is currently on the market for free and Arteta seems optimistic about joining hands with his former teammate. Both shared the dressing room in north London between 2011 and 2016.
At a press conference on Thursday, Arteta was questioned whether he would try to get Wilshere back at Arsenal. He replied: “[He is] someone that I know, that I shared the dressing room with.”
“Someone who is so loved around the club with every person here and our doors are always open.”
