The former Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham defender has named the top two players of the Premier League.
Erling Haaland is the Premier League’s best player, with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard ‘just below’ the Manchester City striker in second, according to William Gallas.
The Norwegian players have taken the English league by storm this season. Haaland leads the Golden Boot race with an incredible 21 goals in 15 games, while Odegaard has chipped in seven goals and five assists in 16 matches.
“Martin Odegaard has shown all his skills and qualities,” Gallas told Genting Casino.
“He is a playmaker. I don’t know if he’s the best player in the Premier League. I think the best player at the moment is Halaand.”
‘Odegaard is just below Haaland’
Odegaard’s form has been one of the key reasons for Arsenal moving eight points of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
“What Odegaard is doing with Arsenal is just magnificent,” ex-Arsenal captain Gallas added.
“He can see everything quickly before any of the other players. That’s why sometimes he can play with one touch and delivers a good ball into space.
“It also is very good to see players like him. He’s just below Haaland as the best Premier League player right now.”
