The former La Masia starlet spent the last season at PSV Eindhoven.
Xavi Simons is reportedly on the verge of completing a move back to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 champions sold Simons to PSV Eindhoven last summer. However, the Dutchman’s brilliant form has seemingly convinced PSG to trigger a buy-back clause in his contract.
According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG will have the 20-year-old back on a €6m move. However, Simons might still spend the upcoming season away from Parc des Princes.
Simons has attracted interest from several clubs who are keen to sign him on loan ahead of the next campaign. But PSG are yet to make a final decision on his future.
At the moment, RB Leipzig are the favourites to complete a loan move for Simmons. However, the former Barcelona starlet could end up staying at PSG if Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are sold this summer.
A report from Sky Sports claims PSG will make their final decision until Tuesday. The Parisians have also made it clear that they won’t accept a buy-out option included in Simon’s loan deal.
Last season, Simons made 48 appearances for PSV across all competitions, registering 22 goals and 12 assists. He became Eredivisie’s top-scorer while helping his side win the KNVB Cup.
