Jurgen Klopp has played down the talks of Georginio Wijnaldum’s potential exit from Liverpool insisting that situation is ‘all fine’.

A humiliating trophy-less last season for FC Barcelona prompted calls of a change of scenery at the club from within as well as from the fans.

The dismissal of Quique Setien and the appointment of Ronaldo Koeman as the head coach soon followed.

Koeman reportedly identified the team as the problem and immediately put several players on the transfer list while also revealing the names of those who would replace the ongoing players.

Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum is understood as one of Koeman’s top targets. The Dutchman, aware of his abilities from working together in the national team, is eager to bring his compatriot to Camp Nou.

A few reports have gone as far as to claim that the midfielder is close to agreeing to personal terms with Barca.

The 29-year old has just a year left on his contract at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp confirmed he held talks with Wijnaldum recently but refused to admit that it was regarding his future at Liverpool.

“Since Gini is here I have 500-600 talks with him pretty much. So that’s exactly the same like always. Nothing else to say about that,” said Klopp, according to Goal.

“I spoke to Gini when he came back from international duty and we have the talk as always. That’s all, really.

“I cannot speak about the future in a few years but it is all fine. It’s all good for the moment. You know the situation. Between me, Gini, and the club, everything is completely fine.”
