According to a report, Liverpool’s Georgino Wijnaldum has taken a major decision regarding his contract situation at the club.

A report claims Georginio Wijnaldum has turned down Liverpool’s latest offer to keep him at the club.

With his contract set to expire in the summer, the midfielder is keen on leaving and joining Barcelona.

The Catalan club are ready to land the 30-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the season, with Ronald Koeman a huge fan having coached him at international level.

Barcelona made a move for Wijnaldum in the summer and they could now see their wish come true; on the cheap as well.

It could come as a blow for Liverpool with the Dutchman featuring in all of their league games this term.

The club have now failed to agree terms with Wijnaldum throughout the season.

According to Todofichajes, the Reds’ latest offer has also fallen short of the mark, with a move away now on the cards.

The report goes on to state that Wijnaldum does not want to remain at Anfield and requests the choice to be able to leave.

His heart is set on a move to Barcelona, who will be able to start negotiating with him on a pre-contract agreement.
