Lukaku’s career.

The Belgian lived three years in London. Subsequently, he took a path around England with transfer to Everton and Manchester United. Evidently, Lukaku managed to display his “beastly” abilities as a striker in the Premier League.

However, Lukaku received criticism for an absence of technicality at Old Trafford. Therefore, he moved to Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 for £74 million.

The former Chelsea man eased his way into Serie A. Additionally, he bagged 34 goals during his debut season at San Siro, aiding Antonio Conte’s side to finish second in the league. Inter also reached the Europa League final and played against Sevilla.

Moreover, Lukaku started the season well and now reveals his desires for future career possibilities.

“I always follow Anderlecht,” Lukaku told VTM. “I will definitely return. The attraction for a player that wat there as a youngster is too big.

“Ask guys like Leander Dendoncker, Youri Tielemans. They are still involved with the club too because we had so many good moments there.”

The Inter striker is busy representing his country. Belgium will play England and Iceland in the UEFA Nation’s League.

A good student!

Furthermore, Lukaku keeps frequent communication with the legendary Thierry Henry. He believes that the former Arsenal man helped him develop throughout his footballing years.

“I often speak with Thierry Henry,” he said. “Very often. He’s actually my mentor. He gave me the impetus to be compared with other strikers in Europe.”

Lukaku is having a good time in Italy under the rule of Antonio Conte.

“Italy suits my lifestyle. If I had known before, I would have moved here first.”

“At Inter we play with two forwards. When I play on his [Conte] side, he makes himself heard, but I and the coach get along well.

“We are more or less similar. I too, like him, hate losing.”

Unfortunately, he scored an own goal in Inter’s 3-2 loss to Sevilla.

“It was too much for me. I have always had those moments when I simply have to say no. Super Cups, Scudetto lost by one point, the semi-final of the World Cup with Belgium.

“It was all terrible for me. I thought, sod this. I had given so much for that target, then I didn’t get it. It took me four or five days to get over it.”
