The Frenchman is set to complete a much-anticipated move to Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to give Kylian Mbappe the No.10 jersey upon his potential arrival in the next transfer window.

Widespread reports have confirmed Mbappe’s decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign, with Real Madrid being his most likely destination.

Mbappe has won PSG’s No.10 jersey since July 2018. But it seems the Blancos are not planning to give Vinicius Junior’s shirt number to their new star striker.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Mbappe is set to inherit Luka Modric’s No.10 jersey after the Croatian star’s expected departure in the summer.

The France international will have a chance to join a legendary lineage of Real Madrid stars who have adorned the No.10 shirt at Santiago Bernabeu. From Ferenc Puskas to Modric and Mesut Ozil, some of the greatest players in Real Madrid history have worn this jersey.

Mbappe’s switch to the No.10 jersey at the French national team before the 2018 World Cup turned out to be a pivotal moment in his career as he helped Les Blues win the trophy in Russia. The 25-year-old will face another major turning point when he completes a move away from Parc des Princes next summer.
