The Uruguayan star joins the Reds on a big-money move from Benfica.

Liverpool came close to claiming a historic quadruple last season. The Reds claimed the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup titles but were stopped in their final steps toward winning the Champions League and Premier League trophies.

As usual, a major part of Liverpool’s strength came from their in-form attacking line. Mohamed Salah snatched another Premier League golden boot while Sadio Mane enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career.

In addition to the two African stars, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino delivered decent performances whenever Jurgen Klopp needed them.

However, the Reds signed another forward during the winter transfer window, which exceeded expectations in his first campaign at Anfield. Luis Diaz quickly became a regular starter in Liverpool’s attacking line, improving the Reds’ star-studded attacking unit.

Amid reports of Mane’s possible departure this summer, Liverpool finalized a €100 million deal to sign another forward. Darwin Nunez arrives at Liverpool as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe.

Let’s check out when we can first see the former Benfica star in Liverpool’s jersey.

When will Nunez make his Liverpool debut?

Liverpool are planning to kick-start their pre-season campaign with a match against Manchester United on July 12. Therefore, Nunez will most likely make his Liverpool debut at Old Trafford.

The Reds will then take on Crystal Palace at Anfield before facing Manchester City in the Community Shield game on July 30.

Nunez will have to wait until August 6 to make his Premier League debut against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
