A Bolivia fitness coach ended up on the wrong side of Lionel Messi’s wrath, with the merciless Argentine handing down some choice words.
Even the humble and down-to-earth Messi isn’t immune to a bit of drama on the pitch itself. We’ve seen our fair share of outbursts, including the time he kicked a ball straight at some shell-shocked Real Madrid fans.
Or how about the Copa America saga last year? When he had a bust-up with Chile captain Gary Medel and later accused the South American football governing body, CONMEBOL, of corruption.
Now the 33-year-old has found himself at the center of yet another heated exchange in La Paz on Tuesday.
Just moments after the referee blew the final whistle to cap off a monumental victory for Argentina, Messi had a bust-up with Bolivia fitness coach Lucas Nava and held nothing back.
“Your mother is a c****, baldy,” Messi shouted at Nava as quoted on Diario Sport.
“What’s your problem, baldy? Why are you kicking off, idiot? You don’t have to come and fuck with me.”

Bolivia striker Moreno Martins also got on the wrong side of Messi during the match itself. It’s no secret the hosts attempted to provoke the Argentina captain in La Paz, and managed to get him booked.
But their efforts proved futile in the end, as Messi played an instrumental role in Argentina’s 2-1 win. He proved a handful for the Bolivia defenders to handle and set Lautaro Martinez up brilliantly for the Albiceleste’s equalizer.
Joaquin Correa scored the match-winner late in the second half to ensure Argentina of back-to-back wins in their opening two games of the 2022 South American World Cup qualifiers.
