The Chelsea legend returns to the club to work alongside new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea fans received exciting news as club legend John Terry announced his return to Chelsea in an academy position.

Terry’s comeback comes three months after leaving his consultancy role with the club, and it has sparked enthusiasm among supporters.

In an Instagram post, Terry expressed his delight, stating, “I’m delighted to be back home working in the academy and continuing my role at the club.” 

The former captain’s return is part of a broader shake-up at Chelsea as the club looks to build for the future.

John Terry is undeniably a Chelsea legend, having achieved remarkable success during his playing career. With five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, and victories in both the Champions League and Europa League, Terry’s impact on the team is undeniable. 

After retiring in 2018, he gained coaching experience as an assistant under Dean Smith at Aston Villa and later at Leicester.

On Friday, Terry shared a photo on Instagram featuring himself and Chelsea’s new boss, Mauricio Pochettino, with a caption that read, “Great to see the gaffer. Great manager and great man. Good luck and welcome. We would have been a great center-back partnership.”

While the exact details of Terry’s new role remain undisclosed, it is confirmed that he will be based at Cobham, working with the next generation of Chelsea stars.
