The Hammers are keen to add a new striker to their ranks this summer.
West Ham are reportedly considering a move for Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri, who has been on their radar for several years.
Following Gianluca Scamacca’s €25m move to Atalanta, the Hammers have been scanning the market for a new forward. It seems the London club are now eyeing a move for one of their previous targets.
According to Mundo Deportivo, West Ham have already opened talks with Sevilla to sign En-Nesyri. The Spanish outlet claims that Sevilla are open to selling the Morocco international despite his key role in their squad.
En-Nesyri has established himself as a starter for Sevilla since his transfer from Leganes in January 2020. Since then, he has registered 55 goals and five assists in his 158 appearances for the La Liga side.
A report from L’Equipe claims that Sevilla are demanding around €33m for En-Nesyri. The Hammers are also linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike as another option for the centre-forward position. The 21-year-old joined the Ligue 1 giants earlier this summer, and he could be available on a loan deal.
Following a brilliant 3-1 win over Chelsea, David Moyes’ side will return to action by taking on Brighton on Saturday.
