The Hammers are scanning the market to find a replacement for Declan Rice.
Denis Zakaria’s departure from Juventus is reportedly imminent, with West Ham appearing as his next destination.
The Swiss midfielder, who has been excluded from Allegri and Giuntoli’s plans alongside Bonucci, Arthur, and McKennie, is inching closer to a move to West Ham. The latest twist in the Premier League transfer market, which saw Rice’s transfer to Arsenal for a staggering €120 million, has provided the Hammers with enough funds to push for new signings.
According to Tuttosport, West Ham and Juventus have had positive negotiations over Zakaria’s potential move to London.
The key now lies in finding the right agreement in terms of the financial aspects of the deal. Juventus is reportedly demanding €25 million, while West Ham has offered €5m less. The clubs need to determine whether it will be a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy, as well as the payment structure.
Zakaria was signed for around €8m from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2021. He spent a short loan spell at Chelsea last season before returning to Turin this summer. The 26-year-old’s possible move to England would provide Juve with a significant profit amid their financial problems.
