An impressive comeback from the hosts held Arsenal to another draw in the Premier League.

Arsenal drew 2-2 with West Ham in their Premier League game on Sunday. The Gunners failed to hold on to their two-goal lead at the London Stadium.

City handed a golden opportunity!

Arsenal came into the game on the back of their 2-2 draw against Liverpool last weekend. Similar to that game, the Gunners found a brilliant start to the game, scoring their opening goal in the seventh minute.

Following a fantastic piece of buildup play, Ben White sent a precise pass across the face of the goal. Gabriel Jesus then tapped the ball home from close range to make it 1-0 for Arsenal.

The Gunners used their momentum to quickly double the lead with another fast-paced attack.

This time, an inch-perfect cross from Gabriel Martinelli found Martin Odegaard in the far post. The Norwegian star smashed the ball into the back of the net with a perfect volley.

Arsenal seemed to be on their way to increasing the lead in the first half, but a 33rd-minute penalty for West Ham changed the course of the match. Said Benrahma converted the spot-kick with a cool low shot to bring the hosts back into the game.

The Gunners pushed hard to restore their two-goal lead after the break and found a perfect chance to do so in the 52nd minute. However, Bukayo Saka missed a crucial penalty for Arsenal, with West Ham scoring the equalizer only two minutes later.

Thilo Kehrer’s through ball found Jarrod Bowen behind Arsenal’s backline. The English star then hit an unstoppable volley past Aaron Ramsdale to make it 2-2.

The Gunners kept the pressure on West Ham’s backline to score the match-winner. However, it was the Hammers who found the majority of serious chances in the final ten minutes.

The draw puts Arsenal four points behind Manchester City at the top of the table. Pep Guardiola’s men can shrink Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table to one point if they beat them at Etihad on April 26.
