Bayern found a fantastic start to the new Bundesliga campaign at the Weser Stadium.
Bayern Munich defeated Werder Bremen 4-0 in the first game of the 2023-24 Bundesliga season. Harry Kane opened his goal-scoring account for the Bavarians in his first start for the German giants.
Perfect start for Kane
Bayern stunned their opponents with an early goal as Leroy Sane scored the first goal of the new Bundesliga season in the fourth minute.
Harry Kane’s brilliant through ball found Leroy Sane behind Bremen’s backline. The German winger then made it 1-0 with a cool finish.
Bremen found a few chances to get back into the game during the first half. But the visitors re-established full dominance over the possession after the break.
Kane then doubled Bayern’s lead by scoring his first goal for the Bundesliga champions. The England captain converted Alphonso Davies’ precise pass from the left flank as he made it 2-0 for the Bavarians.
Bayern’s attacks only intensified after Kane’s goal. Leroy Sane completed his brilliant display by scoring Bayern’s third goal of the night before Mathys Tel made it 4-0 with an unstoppable screamer from inside the box.
