Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggests Manchester United could make additions to their squad before the summer window slams shut.

Owing to the lack of enough depth in the squad, Manchester United were expected to have an eventful summer transfer window.

It was understood that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified three key areas to sign reinforcements for – right-wing, left-back, and central midfield.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is reportedly a priority target for Solskjaer, though there has hardly been any progress in their pursuit of the 20-year old so far.

As for left-back, FC Porto’s Alex Telles and Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon are the players linked with a move to Old Trafford.

In the shape of Donny van de Beek, they made their first and the only acquisition of this summer till now.

The window closes on 5 October, and Solskjaer has assured that his side will get bodies on board before the deadline.

The Norwegian told MUTV: “Financially, I’m sure loads of clubs have suffered. It looks like it as there has not been a lot of activity in the window.

“We’re always looking to improve the squad, scouting players and, if something fits, both the financial bit and the football bit, of course, we’ll try to make some business.

“But we can’t know how the markets and how other clubs have been affected either.”
