Brazilian clubs eye free James Rodriguez deal
James Rodriguez has caught the interest of Brazilian clubs Fluminense and Botafogo.
The 31-year-old midfielder is available for a free transfer again. It comes after terminating his Olympiakos contract earlier this month. He may seek around €2.8 million per year in salary at his next club. Reports have also linked him with a move to the MLS. [UOL – in Portuguese]

Jose Mourinho is in the hot seat to become the next Paris Saint-Germain manager.

De Gea closes in on a new Man Utd contract
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is close to agreeing on a new contract at the Premier League club.
United can trigger a one-year extension to De Gea’s current deal, which expires this summer. So a free transfer is unlikely for the 32-year-old. The club and player have agreed on most of the terms for a new deal. It would see De Gea take a basic pay cut, but get better performance-related incentives. [ESPN]
