Manchester United won’t be doing much spending in the summer transfer window despite a potential takeover in the coming months.
Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has lodged a takeover bid for the club, debt-free. The Qatari banker plans to invest in the squad if his offer is successful. However, because of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, United may have to limit their summer spending. [ESPN]

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is close to signing a new contract at the Premier League club.
The 31-year-old France international’s current deal at Stamford Bridge expires this summer. This led to rumors of a free transfer to teams like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is open to joining a Saudi Arabian club on a free summer transfer.
