Man Utd consider €10m bid for Barcelona star who wants to leave for free
Manchester United might attempt to re-sign Memphis Depay for €10 million before the transfer window shuts.
Depay had held extensive talks with Juventus this month. At one point, a deal seemed likely. The forward had permission to end his Barcelona contract a year early, which paved the way for a free transfer. His salary demands, however, have put the Bianconeri off. The Italian giants have instead turned their attention to Marseille striker Arkadiusz Milik.
Now United, who have been keeping tabs on Depay’s situation, may launch a surprise bid to bring the Dutchman back to Old Trafford. [Marca – in Spanish]
Third Chelsea bid for Fofana rejected
Leicester City have rejected a third transfer bid from Chelsea for defender Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea offered a deal between £60 million to £70 million, which included add-on clauses. Leicester, however, found some of them to be unrealistic. The Foxes continue to insist Fofana is not for sale.
Given this latest rejection, Chelsea may have to consider a world record fee for a defender of over £80 million to convince Leicester otherwise. [BBC]

Dest for Meunier? Barcelona plot a swap deal
Barcelona could use Sergino Dest as part of a swap deal for Borussia Dortmund defender Thomas Meunier.
The 21-year-old is out of favor at Camp Nou as Barcelona search for a new right-back to challenge Sergi Roberto. The likes of Cesar Azpilicueta, Hector Bellerin, and Juan Foyth have all been linked to the club.
But Barca could knock down Dortmund’s €15 million asking price for Meunier by offering Dest. That way, the LaLiga club would get a new right-back and Dortmund won’t have to search for a replacement. [Diario Sport]
Hudson-Odoi stirs interest from the Bundesliga
Bayer Leverkusen have stepped up their interest in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Bundesliga giants have approached Chelsea about signing Hudson-Odoi on loan. The 21-year-old would be open to a transfer, as the impending arrival of Everton star Anthony Gordon might knock him down the Blues pecking order. [Telegraph – subscription required]

Inter target a move for Chalobah
Inter Milan have made Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah a priority transfer target.
The Nerazzurri are open to securing a loan deal for the 23-year-old defender. They would prioritize it ahead of other transfer targets, like Francesco Acerbi from Lazio and Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund. [Gianluca Di Marizio – in Italian]
