Latest transfer rumors from around the footballing world, including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and more.

Barca hot on Aguero’s trails

Barcelona are set to act on their transfer interest in Sergio Aguero in the summer, reports Sport.

The Catalan giants, however, are financially feeble right now and would keep that in mind when offering the Argentine striker a contract.

Aguero’s decade-long Manchester City stay is expected to end this season and a host of top club are chasing the 32-year-old.

Chelsea “remain in the bidding” for Atleti defender

Atletico Madrid’s Jose Maria Gimenez remains a subject of interest for Chelsea, according to La Razon.

Sevilla’s Jules Kounde is the Blues’ priority but they find his €80 million price tag off-putting and hence would rather go after Gimenez as long as Atleti are willing to negotiate below that amount.

Now, it remains to be seen if the La Liga leaders would be willing to drop their asking price for the Uruguayan defender especially after turning down an €85 million bid from Manchester City in the past.

Bayern confident of signing Haaland

Bayern Munich believe they are at the front of the queue in the transfer battle for the highly-sought Erling Haaland.

The German and European champions are confident that they can land the striker if he remains at Borussia Dortmund until the summer of 2022 when his release clause comes into play.

Dortmund do not want to cash in on their prized asset this summer, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any offers for the Norwegian goal machine’s potential suitors. [Daily Mail]

Man Utd plot summer move for Varane

Manchester United are ready to pursue Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane when the transfer market re-opens in the summer, as per the Daily Mail.

The Premier League outfit are hoping they can negotiate down Real Madrid’s £60 million (€69m) asking price for the French center-back, who they want to partner with Harry Maguire.

Varane has little over a year remaining on his current contract and could be tempted to move away from the Spanish capital in search of a new challenge.
