Chelsea enter the race for €100m Arsenal target
The Blues could hijack Arsenal’s attempts to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk in the winter transfer window.
After Shakhtar rejected Arsenal’s €60 million bid last week, the Gunners have since lodged a second offer. It’s unlikely, though, the proposal matches the Ukrainian club’s €100 million valuation of Mudryk. Therefore, Chelsea will begin talks with Shakhtar this week to see if they can work out a deal. Porro, a 23-year-old Spanish right-back, joined Sporting in a permanent €8.5 million deal last summer from Manchester City after two successful loan years. Pique considers shock return to football
Gerard Pique would be open to coming out of retirement to join FC Andorra – a Spanish second-division club he owns.
The 35-year-old former defender ended his career this season at Barcelona. He played his final game in a 2-0 win over Almeria on November 5. However, with La Liga’s strict economic rules still in force, an Andorra-Pique link-up may be too complicated under the Spanish regulations [Relevo – in Spanish]
