Chelsea enter talks to sign €90m Bundesliga star
The Blues have made a move to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol for €90 million (£77m) before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
As part of a potential deal for Gvardiol, Chelsea would allow Leipzig to re-sign the 20-year-old Croatian, who has also caught the eye of Manchester City and Tottenham, on loan for this season.
Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has said Gvardiol is not for sale, but Chelsea’s loan offer has apparently convinced the Bundesliga club to consider it. [Daily Mail]
Fulham hope to sign four players this week
The Cottagers hope to sign ex-Chelsea man Willian, PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa, Roma winger Justin Kluivert, and Marseille forward Bamba Dieng before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Willian is available for a free transfer after leaving Brazilian club Corinthians. Kurzawa is allowed to leave PSG after falling out of favor, while Kluivert could join Fulham on a season loan. Dieng, meanwhile, could act as a support for star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. [Telegraph – subscription required]

Depay looks set to stay at Barcelona
Memphis Depay looks more likely than ever to stay at Barcelona.
Despite being linked with an exit for most of the summer, Depay remains at Camp Nou. The forward had been in talks with Juventus, but they didn’t bear any fruit. The Italian club instead signed Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik on loan from Marseille.
Depay, who will be out of contract next summer, hasn’t played in any of Barcelona’s three LaLiga games this season. [Diario Sport – in Spanish]
Brighton want to sign Gilmour from Chelsea
The Seagulls hope to sign Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour ahead of the final two days of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old Scot, who spent last season on loan at Norwich City, has returned to the Blues first-team fold. He hasn’t, though, seen a minute of action so far.
As Brighton have already signed Levi Colwill on loan from Chelsea, Graham Potter’s side would need to make Gilmour a permanent signing. [Daily Mail]

Gueye to leave PSG for Everton
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gueye is due to fly to England ahead of a late transfer to Everton.
The Senegal international will undergo a medical and then put pen to paper on a two-year contract to return to Goodison Park, with the option of a third year, if everything goes to plan. [The Athletic – subscription required]
