Arsenal plot to hijack Chelsea move for Premier League star
The Gunners could bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo after Chelsea’s failed transfer offer.
Despite links with West Ham star Declan Rice, Arsenal are searching for alternatives. Everton ace Amadou Onana is one on the name, as is Caicedo. Chelsea are keen on the latter. Barcelona eye several stars in Juve raid
The Blaugrana are plotting a transfer raid at Juventus after the Italian club’s 15-point deduction in the ‘capital gains case’.
The penalty has dropped Juventus down to 10th in the Serie A table, 14 points outside the top four. They won’t play Champions League football next season as things stand. Should it stay that way, Barcelona may pursue moves for some of Juve’s star players, including Manuel Locatelli, Federico Chiesa, and Dusan Vlahovic. [Diario Sport]

Bielsa-Everton talks set to continue
Everton and Marcelo Bielsa will continue talks about the latter becoming the club’s new manager.
The former Leeds United coach has emerged as a leading contender to replace the fired Frank Lampard at Goodison Park. Everton may also consider re-appointing Sam Allardyce as a ‘short-term fix’. The 68-year-old has a reputation for keeping clubs in the Premier League, as he did with Everton in 2017/18. [Independent]
Silva & Chelsea begin contract talks
Chelsea have begun talks with defender Thiago Silva over a new contract.

Navas to join Nottingham Forest?
Nottingham Forest have ramped up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
As Dean Henderson could be out until next month with a thigh injury, Forest may need to sign a new keeper. Navas has emerged as a potential transfer target. The former Real Madrid star has lost favor at PSG, with Gianluigi Donnarumma becoming the club’s undisputed No.1 this season. [Daily Mail]
