Andy Robertson revealed he had a bit of a ‘falling out’ with Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane and jokingly suggested they should have another.

The incident between Robertson and Mane came during a trip to Aston Villa in the Premier League on November 2 last year, which they narrowly won 2-1.

On the back of an incredible start to the campaign, which saw them fail to win just one of their opening 10 games, Jurgen Klopp’s side headed to Villa Park confident of another victory.

But the Lions were no pushovers and took a first-half lead through Trezeguet. They held on until the break, leaving tensions inside the Liverpool camp to reach a boiling point as Robertson and Mane had a heated exchange.

But the pair put aside their issues in the second-half to complete a comeback win for Liverpool. Robertson equalized in the last three minutes for his first league goal of the campaign. Mane then scored an injury-time winner to leave even Klopp surprised.

During an ‘On This Day’ discussion with BT Sport, the Reds boss asked Robertson: “Want to talk about half time?.

“The first time me and Sadio ended up falling out,” replied the left-back.

Klopp continued: “At half time, nobody could have thought these two players would end up deciding the game.”

Robertson added: “We should maybe try it more often if it gets me some more goals!”

The Scotland international scored just more one goal after the Villa game for Liverpool. But to be fair, he did add 13 assists for Liverpool in their title-winning campaign.
