The Roma boss was left bemused when a fan decided to share a special moment with him.
Jose Mourinho has already become a hero in the Italian capital after his first season in charge of Roma.
The 59-year-old led the Giallorossi to their first-ever European title as they claimed last season’s UEFA Conference League.
This summer, the Portuguese manager dismissed interest from a few elite clubs to continue his project of rebuilding Roma’s squad.
The likes of Paulo Dybala and Nemanja Matic have arrived at the Olimpico Stadium as Roma hope to return to the Serie A front-runners with Mourinho.
The ‘special one’ accepted a Roma fan’s request to take a picture with him and his girlfriend on Friday. But he was caught off guard by what came next.
The man ensured Mourinho was in attendance when he went on one knee and asked his girlfriend to marry him. Mourinho seemed confused at first but then applauded the couple alongside the rest of the coaching staff there.
Football fans have reacted to the video, finding Mourinho’s reaction hilarious.
A supporter wrote: “Jose standing there like he is some kind of priest 😂.”
