The Netherlands booked their spot in the World Cup’s round of 16 in style by crushing Vietnam 7-0 on Tuesday.

The Orange spared the eliminated Vietnam no mercy in Dunedin, New Zealand. They blew their opponents away in the first half with five goals from different scorers. Lieke Martens broke the deadlock in the eight-minute. Katja Snoeijs, Esmee Brugts, Jill Roord, and Daniëlle van de Donk later found the net to cap off a stunning start for the Dutch.

Brugts and Roord scored again in the second half to wrap up a 7-0 win. The victory secured the Netherlands’ top spot in Group E, as the USA failed to beat Portugal. They will next face the runner-up in Group G, which is currently Italy, for the last-16 phase of the World Cup.
