Video footage has emerged of Zinedine Zidane angrily confronting reporters as he attended a Spanish second division playoff final.
Zinedine Zidane reacted furiously to the ‘same stupid questions’ that were thrown at him on Sunday evening.
The Frenchman was in Vallecas, Madrid, to support his son, Luca, as the 23-year-old goalkeeper’s Rayo Vallecano side faced Girona in the first leg of a Spanish second division playoff final.
Zidane’s appearance came only two weeks after he stepped down as Real Madrid manager and explained his issues with the club’s supporters in an open letter, including his distaste over the media’s coverage of the game.
But unfortunately he couldn’t enter the Vallecas stadium without being questioned over his letter.
🙄 A Zidane siguen sin gustarle las preguntas de @SQuirante…

“Are you still asking the same dumb questions as before?” Zidane told the journalist from DirectoGol.
“Your job is a disgrace. It’s always the same with you. I know you and you know me.”
He then gestured for the journalist to come towards him for a private one-on-one by saying: “Come here. Let me talk to you without the cameras.”
The reporter obliged and told the cameraman to not record the chat as Zidane put his arm around him and walked off.
Rayo Vallecano, meanwhile, lost 2-1 to Girona in the first leg of the playoff final. The return leg takes place in Catalonia next Sunday.
