Robert Lewandowski continued to display his goalscoring form as Bayern Munich beat Arminia Bielefeld. In a Bundesliga entertaining fixture on Saturday, the Bavarian giants scored four goals to ease past the opponents.

Evidently, Lewandowski netted four goals in Bayern’s 4-3 win over Hertha Berlin right before the international break. Furthermore, he also scored a brace for Poland against Bosnia-Herzegovina during this week.

The vigorous attacker added more goals to his record for the season with nine goals in seven games. In addition, Lewandowski aided his teammate Thomas Muller to open the account for Bayern.

Moreover, the Poland international also assisted Muller to score Bayern’s fourth goal of the match. The visitors conceded one goal after Ritsu Doan’s low strike. Also, Corentin Tolisso earned a straight red card.

However, Bayern now climbs up the ladder in the Bundesliga to second place.

Only after eight minutes on the clock, Lewandowski diverted a first-time pass to Muller to put in the back of the net.

Though, Tolisso and Muller had their chances during the game but did not extend the lead. Furthermore, Lewandowski missed a chance to double the lead with a fabulous shot from 18 yards.

On the edge of halftime, Muller returned a favor by squaring a ball to the Polish striker for his goal. Lewandowski’s first goal influenced a similar set up for his second goal.

In the 51st minute, Muller received a long-ball from his attacker to volley it past Bielefeld’s goalkeeper.

Bielefeld did not lose in the last 10 fixtures in 2020. However, they managed to pull one goal back from Bayern on the home turf.

Unfortunately, Bayern’s unbeaten spell ended after their defeat by Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga outing.

Although, Hansi Flick’s side is now right behind leaders RB Leipzig who beat Augsburg 2-0 earlier on Saturday.

Lewandowski now has 213 goals under his name in 258 Bundesliga fixtures, with the help of Muller’s assists.
