Video: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrives in Barcelona

The Gabonese striker has moved a step closer to sealing a loan move to Barcelona from Arsenal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has arrived at the El Prat airport in Barcelona from London ahead of his move to Camp Nou.

Journalists greeted the 32-year-old at midday on Monday as he left the airport to complete his loan move to the Catalan club until the end of the season.

As Aubameyang is out of favor with manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have approved the deal. The Gunners are keen to offload his reported £350,000 weekly salary from their books. It’s not clear how much of the player’s wages Barcelona will cover, but it seems they almost got a deal over the line.

The only alleged obstacle left is for the Blaugrana to offload players of their own.

Nonetheless, Aubameyang will take a medical today and look to put the finishing touches on his loan move.
