On the day of their new training facility unveiling, Leicester City got to show off their decade-long project worth €100 million.
Leicester City is celebrating after unveiling the new training facility that is worth well over €100 million located in Seagrave, north Leicestershire. This is a massive project that took the owners almost a decade to complete and it was finally presented to the public today. With this new facility, the Foxes can finally consider themselves as part of the elite group of football clubs in Europe.
Manager Brendan Rodgers was there to talk about the project and how much the club has grown in all aspects. The first squad is expected to start training there on Christmas Eve and inaugurate the facility. It’s a new day for Leicester City, one of the fastest evolving football clubs in the world.
Brendan Rodgers is thrilled with the new ground.
“It’s the most significant investment in the club’s history,” he said via Leicester City’s website. “In terms of recruitment, it will add to what we have. We will always be in the market for a certain level of player. We don’t have the £50million, £60milllion, or £70million to spend on one player. It’s pretty clear what market the club is in. But when they see the facility that will definitely help us.
“The club have always attracted really good players but we are now moving into an elite venue which will be a great help. The essence of Leicester City is there is a genuine want to develop people, whether you are a player or staff member. That comes from the very top. We are all very lucky to work here and experience that.”
