VIDEO: Kimmich’s late stunner saves Bayern Munich

In a competitive fixture between Lokomotiv Moscow and Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich scored a spectacular goal to rescue the visitors.

Joshua Kimmich netted a 20-yard striker late in the second half to rescue Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Subsequently, the Bavarian giants escaped by a 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow.

Right at the beginning of the game, Leon Goretzka opened up the account for Bayern in the 13th minute. Evidently, the midfielder scored his second goal in all the European games. He properly finished a passing game-play of Hansi Flick’s side.

However, the home side put on quite a show as the Bayern struggled to gain more advantage at RZD Arena. Though, Lokomotiv also faced constant threats from Kingsley Coman and Thomas Muller.

In the 70th minute, although, the Russian side equalized following Anton Miranchuk’s goal past Manuel Neuer.

Although, with only 11 minutes left on the clock, Bayern took the lead with an absolute screamer. Kimmich calmly controlled Javi Martinez’s ball to create a banger from outside the box. 

Nonetheless, Lokomotiv kept the pressure on the visitors. Just three minutes after Kimmich’s goal, Miranchuk’s lob ball found Fedor Smolov’s header straight towards the goal. But, Neuer took a firm grasp on the ball from the close-range attempt.

Nevertheless, following this close win, Bayern stays on top of the Group A table with six points in two games.
