With yet another football masterclass, James Rodriguez leads Everton to a new victory against Brighton with a double and an assist.

Absolutely nobody will deny that James Rodriguez finally found his place in the universe after tonight’s performance against Brighton. The Colombian playmaker was already the most prolific player in the Premier League but today he became the best. Carlo Ancelotti managed to accomplish what Zidane couldn’t do, he got the best out of this incredible player.

This game starts with another Everton man who is also on fire: Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The English striker keeps proving he is arguably the best striker that the Three Lions can have right now with his ninth goal since the new season started.

A header was the opening goal of the evening this time. Maupay scored the equalizer just before the break. But James started his personal show just before the break with a beautiful assist to Jerry Mina during a set-piece. A Colombian connection that ended with a fantastic header.

James nets the double with the Toffees.

After the second goal, James Rodriguez started dominating the game’s tempo with his usual rhythm. He scored two identical counter-attack goals in which he initiated both chances and he finished them. The only difference is that James scored one goal with each foot, but the rest was very similar.

Rodriguez left the pitch with 12 minutes left on the clock and a big smile on his face. He knows he is finally finding his Zen at Everton and he is not letting go. Next up for Everton, the Merseyside Derby is taking place after the international break. Jürgen Klopp must be studying like crazy in order to find a way to stop James Rodriguez during that derby.
