Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy got a brilliant reception from the Senegal squad after winning the Champions League.
The Senegal squad gave Edouard Mendy an incredible welcome after his Champions League-winning exploits.
The Chelsea star has reported back to international duty for the first time since becoming only the second African goalkeeper, and the first in Champions League era, to win European football’s most prestigious club competition.
Mendy did so in style by keeping nine clean sheets and only conceding three goals in 12 appearances. He also kept a blank to help Chelsea beat Manchester City 1-0 in the final.
After his brilliance in Portugal, Mendy took a few well-earned days off before reporting back to duty for Senegal and receiving this rapturous welcome.
Senegal return to action on Saturday night for a friendly against Zambia in Thies.
