As the day keeps progressing, FC Barcelona is not backing down and they shared an emotional farewell video about Messi’s greatest moments.

It’s not a dream, Lionel Messi is leaving FC Barcelona for good and there’s a video that proves it. After a frantic few hours of much information, the Catalan club has made several moves that confirm Leo is not returning. After the official announcement, they took his name and picture out of the club’s official website. But the final blow was the most recent video they posted on all their social media accounts. An emotional video of his best moments as a Barcelona player that all but confirms he is not returning.

Despite the many rumors of a possible plot to pressure La Liga, everything points to Messi not having any chance to return. This does seem final and his options should be many given his status as the best player in the world right now. Leo arrived at the club when he was only 13 years old and since then, he did everything to become the club’s biggest legend. After participating in more than 1,000 goals with countless historic moments, Leo leaves as La Liga’s biggest legend. No other player will ever surpass what he did during his time at FC Barcelona.

Does Messi have a small chance to stay?

Just by looking at everything that’s happened over the last four hours, there seems to be no chance of him staying at the club. However, conspiracy theories won’t stop coming from all over the place due to the evident confrontation between Barça and La Liga. Even though he will remain as a free agent until the end of the transfer window, Messi can’t reach an agreement with FC Barcelona.

The club’s economic issues won’t allow them to sign him as a player in the Spanish La Liga. There’s simply no way in which the Catalan club can pay him what he wants and all they can do is thank him for all these magical years. The end of an era in Spanish football is finally here with Leo Messi leaving the club. First, it was Neymar, then it was Cristiano and Ramos. But Messi puts Barcelona in a clear S.O.S. from which they might never recover.
