The Nigerian star displayed another fantastic performance as Napoli smashed Sassuolo on home soil.

Victor Osimhen scored the first hat-trick of his career to help Napoli beat Sassuolo 4-0 on Saturday.

The Serie A leaders found a brilliant start to the game with Osimhen putting them ahead in the fourth minute.

Following a precise cutback from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Nigeria international doubled his side’s lead only 15 minutes later.

Kvaratskhelia completed his impressive performance by making it 3-0 later in the first half as Sassuolo’s backline looked completely crushed under pressure.

The pace of the game dropped significantly after half-time. But that didn’t stop Osimhen from completing his hat-trick with a cool one-on-one finish.

The victory marks Napoli’s 13th consecutive win across all competitions, securing their six-point lead over Milan at the top of the Serie A table.

Osimhen has played a crucial part in Napoli’s recent run, scoring seven goals in his eight league appearances for the Blues.

The Nigerian star has attracted interest from a number of elite clubs across Europe, with Chelsea being his main suitor ahead of next summer.

Osimhen and co will travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday.
