Lazio have failed to significantly add to their ranks with Vedat Muriqi being the most high profile addition to Simeone Inzaghi’s dressing room.

David Silva rejected Lazio but another aging Spaniard joined their ranks. Pepe Reina arrived from AC Milan on a free transfer. The experienced goalkeeper will be a backup at the Olimpico di Roma.

However, the club have added Vedat Muriqi to their ranks. The Kosovo international arrived on a €18 million deal. Spirits are high at Muriqi’s addition and the forward is looking forward to playing with his new teammates.

The 28-year-old believes he will adapt to his new surroundings easily as his playing style matches their philosophy.

“I see myself suited for their style of play,” Football Italia quoted Murqi.

“Lazio played with two strikers in most games last season. They said they needed a striker like me.

“I chose them too. For me, the team’s success comes first, then the individual. I go to a new team and I hope to be successful.

“I want to play in the best clubs in the world over the next few years. I will do my best for Lazio.”

Muriqi scored 15 goals in 32 Super Lig matches during the 2019/20 campaign and will ease Ciro Immobile’s workload.
