The Polish striker sends Barca to the top of the La Liga table with a clinical finish.

Barcelona defeated Valencia 1-0 in their La Liga game on Saturday. The Catalans restarted their domestic victories days after getting knocked out of the Champions League.

Lewandowski strikes again!

Valencia struggled hard to prevent Barca from dominating the game early on. The Catalans controlled the midfield while sending through passes to the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele up front.

Lewandowski came the closest when he hit the post with a brilliant header just before half-time. However, it was Valencia who had more chances to score at the beginning of the second period.

Barca bounced back by gradually dominating the possession but had to wait until the 93rd minute to snatch the match-winner.

Raphinha crossed the ball inside the box, where the Polish striker smashed home a brilliant diving shot. The goal was enough to secure a crucial win for the Catalans as they moved past Real Madrid to claim La Liga’s top spot on goal difference.

Barcelona will return to the Champions League to face Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday before hosting Almeria in the league four days later.
