The Rossoneri are monitoring the market for a new full-back.

AC Milan are reportedly considering a move for USMNT defender Joe Scally.

Despite finding a solid start to the new Serie A season, Milan are struggling for squad depth in their backline. It seems the club are now eager to add a new full-back to their ranks in January.

According to Calcio Mercato, Scally is among Milan’s key targets for the upcoming transfer window. The Italian source has claimed Milan’s scouts have been active in Germany to find a new right-back in recent weeks.

Scally has been playing for Borussia Monchengladbach since joining the club from New York City in 2021. This season, the 20-year-old has established himself as a starter under Gerardo Seoane.

If a move to Milan materializes this January, Scally will become the third American player in the club, joining Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah.

Another Bundesliga star, Kiliann Sildillia, has also attracted interest from Milan for the right-back spot. Meanwhile, the club are reportedly keen to sign a new centre-forward, with Lille’s Jonathan David being their main target for the position.

After an underwhelming draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Milan returns to action with a Serie A match against Genoa on Saturday.
