The USMNT star picked up an injury in his side’s victory over Iran.
Gregg Berhalter confirms Christian Pulisic has returned to USMNT’s training on Friday.
Pulisic scored his side’s only goal in their crucial victory over Iran on Tuesday. But he had to leave the pitch after half-time with an injury.
USMNT are preparing to meet Netherlands in their last-16 clash on Saturday. But Berhalter is still not sure whether the Chelsea star will be back in time for the game.
“We’re going to see him on the training field today,” he said.
“What I think is it looks pretty good. But we’re going to have to see him on the training pitch today to get confirmation of that.
“[Sargent] is another one we’re going to test in training, see where he’s at. With Christian we’re hopeful, with him a little less so.
“We’ll see. He’s going to test. At this stage, it’s go time. If you can push through it, you do. I’m sure he’ll have that mindset.”
In case they manage to beat Netherlands, the USA will have to lock horns with the winner of Argentina’s clash against Australia.
Let’s see if the USMNT can reach the World Cup’s quarter-finals for the first time since 2002.
