Manchester United continue to be linked with Three Lions hotshot Jadon Sancho which has dented their transfer objectives.
Jadon Sancho came through Manchester City’s youth system. It would be great if Manchester United manage to secure his services and build their long term future around his talents.
His arrival at Old Trafford will boost the Red Devils sporting and commercial projects. It is a win-win on all accounts. The only problem is that Borussia Dortmund do not want to sell.
The Yellow and Blacks believe they can challenge for the Bundesliga title with Sancho and end Bayern Munich’s reign. They believe in his abilities and do not want to let him go in a transfer market financially impeded by the coronavirus pandemic.
Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has given in to Dortmund’s stubborn approach. The footballer turned pundit believes Sancho’s links to Old Trafford are hurting the club as they have failed to secure their other targets.
“The fact that it’s dragged on. Just say to Dortmund “leave him there” and go get another player,” talkSPORT quoted Neville. “There are plenty of players around, there can’t be just one player you’re chasing.
“If you can’t get a deal done [for Sancho] you have to move on. You certainly have to give hard deadlines on players.”
Interestingly, United are linked with another Bundesliga star, Thiago Alcantara. The Barcelona youth academy graduate wants to leave Bavaria and the Red Devils are looking to hijack Liverpool’s interest in the midfielder.
