Manchester United have not given up hope of signing Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish this summer. They are still pushing for a transfer.

Grealish continues to be linked with a summer exit from Aston Villa.

The midfielder was an integral part in Villa’s road to survival. His tally of eight goals and six assists last season saw him crowned the club’s player of the season.

Grealish is a boyhood Villa fan but remains tipped to leave the West Midlands at some point.

Old Trafford has seemed an obvious destination given his style of play and United’s want to sign homegrown players.

Grealish is keen to challenge himself in the Champions League – something a move to Manchester could offer him.

Rumors linking the 24-year-old to Old Trafford have gone pretty quiet over the past few days.

However, something could still be cooking in the background. The Daily Mail claims United are still in contact with Villa over a potential deal.

Both parties spoke last week over a deal that could cost the Red Devils’ up to £75m.

The report also adds that Villa are under no pressure to sell. However, they won’t stop Grealish from leaving if the right offer comes in.

Asides the Red Devils, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City are some of the other sides linked with the Villa captain.

For many, a question remains on whether Grealish will secure a regular starting berth if he swaps for United.
