Manchester United and Real Madrid will reportedly battle it out for the signature of Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga.

Manchester United could go neck to neck with Real Madrid over Eduardo Camavinga.

The 17-year-old continues to take Ligue 1 by storm and made his mark on the international scene by scoring an overhead kick on his first start for France in the 7-1 win over Ukraine last week.

Camavinga is already attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world to his talent. However, it could be a two-way battle between a Premier League and La Liga giant.

The report comes just days after Paul Pogba once again professed his admiration for Los Blancos. Meaning in hindsight, the Red Devils could be looking for his replacement already.

Pogba recently heaped praise on Camavinga as a future superstar, making the latest reports all the more poetic.

Spanish outlet AS have reported that United have a plan in place for the signing of the central midfielder. His current deal with Rennes will expire in 2022.

That comes after Zinedine Zidane made the player his top request for the future. Los Blancos could have gone for Camavinga this summer but for the financial constraints caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

They add that United are now posing a giant threat’ to that interest and Ole Solskjaer could sanction the move especially with Pogba’s future at the club looking rather uncertain.
