According to the man himself, a UFC legend is actively looking into the possible purchase of Manchester United if the Glazers sell.

Manchester United has been under severe scrutiny over the last month and attracted a UFC legend in the process. Irish MMA star Conor McGregor publicly announced his intention to possibly buy a football club. Initially, he asked his followers if buying Manchester United was a good idea. As it stands, the Red Devils are currently valued at around €3.5 billion. This is far more than McGregor is currently valued at. He just sold a stake of his Proper 12 Irish Whiskey brand for around €600 million.

To that we need to add all the revenue he’s amassed over the years between his fights and sponsors. But not even that gets close to Manchester United’s actual value. However, Conor could easily partner up with other investors to attempt the take over with an offer that could make it worth the Glazer family’s while. Surely, Conor coming up with at least a €4 billion offer might persuade them to consider selling the club.

Conor also considers buying Celtic.

In a recent tweet response to a fan’s question, Conor McGregor also revealed that Manchester United is not the only club he might be willing to buy. In his plans, the MMA star also talked about Celtic as a possible option. If you go to the Scottish club’s market value, it goes way down compared to one of the most successful clubs in the world. According to Forbes, Celtic’s net worth is a little over €120 million in the stock market.

This is a major difference when you place one club above the other. McGregor confirmed he is a fan of both clubs through the following Twitter response: “A conversation came up regarding Celtic first to be honest. To acquire shares from Dermot Desmond. I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage! Both Celtic and Man United are teams I like for sure. But I am open. I feel I could do big things for a club.”
